Over the past five years, what began as an idea to create an all-natural, Australian made Wool Wash has evolved into a brand with a range of garment care and body products, meticulously developed to elevate the daily ritual of caring for garments and body. And while a lot has happened over the past five years - new products, new stockists, photoshoots and collaborations - the same principals and values for the brand still apply today: all natural and certified organic ingredients, cruelty free and vegan, and all our products are still made right here in Australia.
Ms BROWN was my first baby and I’ve had two more since then – beautiful little girls this time and I hope they can grow up with the same passion I’ve had (and continue to have) for a gentler and healthier way to live and consume; to care for their bodies and their garments, for the ultimate in longevity.
Thank you to every single one of you who has supported Ms BROWN, by not just buying our products, but telling your friends about them, gifting to loved ones, following us and sharing your Ms BROWN on social media, writing reviews, asking questions, reading these newsletters! I’m so grateful to you for helping shape Ms BROWN into what it is today and what it will be in the future.
Five years ago, I launched Ms BROWN with one product - my first passion and still my go-to laundry cleanser: the Ms BROWN Wool & Cashmere Wash. Since then we've expanded from garment care to hand and body care across a range of beautiful scents in washes, moisturisers and oils... I only launch products that I truly care about and that I know will play a key role in both my and your daily rituals, so to have this incredible range under the Ms BROWN label is something I have worked so hard for, and am grateful for every day.
It was the culmination of a career in luxury women's publishing and an upbringing on a merino sheep farm in South Australia, that ultimately led to the creation of Ms BROWN, so to see the two merge once again with Ms BROWN featured across the pages of respected Australian and international publications such as Vogue Australia, Vogue Living, Real Living, Sunday Life, Delicious, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle Australia, Gourmet Traveller (and more) is so special.
STOCKISTS & COLLABORATORS
When we began I couldn’t have imagined the amazing places Ms BROWN would end up. Ms BROWN has been proud to work with a wide range of beautiful stockists all over Australia and throughout Asia, New Zealand and the UK, including Lee Mathews, Assembly Label, Loom Towels, My Chameleon, Elka Collective, Father Rabbit and so many more.
We've also been fortunate to collaborate with Matteau on an exclusive swim wash, as well as boutiques Parlour X and Mode Sportif.
Over the years, I've had no shortage of pinch-me moments, from seeing Ms BROWN as part of a small edit of grooming products available in the gift store of the iconic Raffles Hotel Singapore, to finding it in the bathrooms and laundries of spectacular homes and hospitality venues such as Naiko Retreat in South Australia, Sydney restaurant Ursulas and (my local) Body Love Pilates.
Ms BROWN has been on display and used in showrooms and projects of designers all over Australia - including Tamsin Johnson Showroom and Three Birds Renovations, as well as on the Instagram feeds and in the homes of Saasha Burns, Elle Ferguson, Eleanor Pendleton, Rachelle Rowlings, Talisa Sutton, Christelle Scifo and so many more. We
Perhaps what I am most proud of is our incredible customers from all over the globe, using and loving Ms BROWN. Environmentally conscious customers who really care about what they are using on their clothes and on their bodies, and how the products look in their homes. I'm so proud of the feedback they have shared with us - another of the reasons we'll continue to grow and evolve our offering for another five years (and longer!).
