Are Ms BROWN products natural?
Yes. All Ms BROWN products are made using natural, plant-based and organic ingredients. We have worked very hard to exclude harsh chemicals, irritants and allergens commonly found in other home and body products, even the ones that say they are natural. All our products are free from parabens, phthalates, silicones, petrolatum, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium laureth sulfate, phosphates, synthetic dyes and fragrance.

We believe you have a right to use products with safe ingredients and to know exactly what those ingredients are. Our full list of ingredients are shown on our bottles and website so you can read and check them for yourself. 

Can I use Ms BROWN laundry products in the washing machine?
Yes. Ms BROWN garment care products can be used for either hand washing or in the washing machine. We recommend using the wool or gentle cycle on your machine. Read more about the best ways to care for and store wool and cashmere here and how to wash silk and delicate items here.

What is the best way to wash wool and cashmere?
Most wool and cashmere garments can be washed by hand or in the washing machine using the Ms BROWN Wool & Cashmere Wash. Read more about the best ways to care for and store wool and cashmere here.

What is the best way to wash silk and delicate items?
Most silk and delicate items such as shirts and lingerie, including those made from lace or synthetics, can be washed in the machine at home on a gentle cycle or hand wash cycle using the Ms BROWN Delicate Wash and a garment bag. Read more about how to wash silk and delicate items here.

How to properly use a wool and cashmere comb?
Even the highest quality wool and cashmere garments can pill, the key is caring for them properly. To use the Ms BROWN Wool & Cashmere Comb, lay your garment on a flat, stable surface. First, select an inconspicuous area to test – high on the inside of the arms, or the side of the ribs – and gently brush the comb in one direction in short strokes, methodically moving around the garment. Bulky or loose weave knits will require a lighter touch, while tighter weaves and lighter knitwear can handle a heavier hand. The abrasive mesh will collect pilling and lint, so to maintain optimum performance, clear the mesh once build up appears during use, and following use. Are Ms BROWN bottles recyclable?
Yes. We use recycled and recyclable materials for our packaging including our bottles.

What does ‘Grey Water Safe’ mean?
Australia is the driest continent on the planet and water is a precious resource. We encourage recycling water wherever possible and one of the easiest ways to do this is reusing water from household tasks (grey water) on your garden. Ms BROWN products are completely biodegradable meaning you can reuse the water from hand washing your clothes on the flowers in your garden. Read more about recycling grey water here.

Are Ms BROWN products tested on animals?
No. Ms BROWN is completely cruelty free. We do not believe in testing on animals and our products are also vegan.

Where are Ms BROWN products made?
All Ms BROWN products are (and always will be) proudly made in Australia using the best available local and imported ingredients.

Why does my Body Oil look cloudy sometimes?
Our Body Oils are made using Jojoba (Simmondsia chinensis) Oil which is not strictly an oil but a liquid wax ester. Because of this, as ambient temperatures change you may see some cloudiness or solidification in the product. This is totally normal, will not affect the quality of the product and in most cases can be dispersed by gently shaking the bottle, otherwise it will return to liquid as the temperature rises.
